Advair Diskus
by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK)
Advair Diskus is a widely-used ICS/LABA combination inhaler for asthma and COPD available through the GSK Patient Assistance Program.
What is Advair Diskus?
Advair Diskus (fluticasone propionate/salmeterol) is a combination inhaler containing an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) and a long-acting beta-agonist (LABA) used twice daily. It is approved for:
- Maintenance treatment of asthma in adults and children 4 years and older
- Maintenance treatment of COPD in adults (reducing exacerbations and improving airflow)
Advair Diskus is one of the most widely prescribed respiratory medications. It reduces airway inflammation and keeps bronchial muscles relaxed to prevent asthma attacks and COPD flare-ups.
