Concerta

by Johnson & Johnson

Concerta is an extended-release ADHD medication available through the Johnson & Johnson Patient Assistance Program.

Concerta (methylphenidate HCl extended-release) is a central nervous system stimulant approved for the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children ages 6 and older, adolescents, and adults up to age 65. It uses the OROS (osmotic release oral system) delivery mechanism to provide an ascending release of methylphenidate throughout the day — designed to mirror the behavioral benefit of three immediate-release doses — with once-daily dosing. Concerta is taken in the morning and is available in 18 mg, 27 mg, 36 mg, and 54 mg strengths.
