Edurant

by Johnson & Johnson

Edurant is a once-daily oral HIV medication available through the Johnson & Johnson Patient Assistance Program.

Edurant (rilpivirine) is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI) approved as part of a complete HIV-1 treatment regimen for antiretroviral-naïve adults and adolescents (ages 12 and older, weighing at least 35 kg) with HIV-1 RNA ≤100,000 copies/mL at the start of treatment. It is taken once daily with a meal. Rilpivirine is also the active component in several combination HIV regimens including Complera, Odefsey, Juluca, and Cabenuva (the long-acting monthly injectable), making familiarity with it clinically important across treatment pathways.
