Jalyn

by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK)

Jalyn is a combination tablet treating benign prostatic hyperplasia with both a 5-ARI and alpha-blocker, available through the GSK Patient Assistance Program.

What is Jalyn?

Jalyn (dutasteride/tamsulosin) is a combination capsule containing a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor (dutasteride) and an alpha-blocker (tamsulosin) approved for the treatment of symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in adult men. The dutasteride component shrinks the prostate over time by reducing DHT levels, while the tamsulosin component relaxes prostate and bladder neck muscles to immediately improve urine flow. Together, they address both the underlying prostate enlargement and the immediate urinary symptoms of BPH.
