Rybelsus (semaglutide) is prescribed to lower blood sugar (glucose) levels in adults with type 2 diabetes. It is most effective when used in combination with diet and exercise.

Rybelsus comes in 7 and 14 mg tablets and is taken by mouth, with a small amount (less than 4 ounces) of water on an empty stomach upon awakening. Nothing further should be consumed for at least 30 minutes after taking Rybelsus.
