Tabrecta

by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK)

Tabrecta is an oral MET inhibitor for METex14-mutant non-small cell lung cancer available through the GSK Patient Assistance Program.

What is Tabrecta?

Tabrecta (capmatinib) is an oral MET kinase inhibitor approved for adult patients with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) whose tumors have a mutation that leads to mesenchymal-epithelial transition (MET) exon 14 skipping (METex14). Patients must be confirmed to have a METex14-skipping mutation using an FDA-approved companion diagnostic test before starting treatment. Tabrecta is taken twice daily as an oral tablet and works by blocking the MET signaling pathway that drives the growth of cancer cells harboring this mutation.
