Tafinlar

by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK)

Tafinlar is a BRAF inhibitor for melanoma and other BRAF-mutant solid tumors, used with Mekinist, available through the GSK Patient Assistance Program.

What is Tafinlar?

Tafinlar (dabrafenib) is a BRAF kinase inhibitor approved for the treatment of multiple BRAF V600 mutation-positive cancers, always used in combination with the MEK inhibitor Mekinist (trametinib):

  • Unresectable or metastatic melanoma with BRAF V600E or V600K mutations
  • Adjuvant treatment of melanoma with BRAF V600E or V600K mutations after complete resection
  • Metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with BRAF V600E mutation
  • Locally advanced or metastatic anaplastic thyroid cancer (ATC) with BRAF V600E mutation
  • Solid tumors with BRAF V600E mutation that progressed after prior treatment (tumor-agnostic)

Patients must be confirmed to have a BRAF V600 mutation before starting therapy.
