Ventolin HFA

by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK)

Ventolin HFA is a fast-acting rescue inhaler for asthma and COPD available through the GSK Patient Assistance Program.

What is Ventolin HFA?

Ventolin HFA (albuterol sulfate) is a short-acting beta-agonist (SABA) rescue inhaler used to relieve sudden asthma symptoms and bronchospasm in adults and children 4 years and older with reversible obstructive airway disease (asthma) and in adults with COPD. It acts within minutes by relaxing the smooth muscles around the airways, opening them up quickly during an asthma attack or acute breathing episode. Ventolin HFA is also used before exercise to prevent exercise-induced bronchospasm.
